DESCRIPTION

Metro 2033 is both a series of books and video games that have always had an impact on me. The atmosphere, the missions, and especially the design of the levels deeply impressed me. I wanted to pay homage to the second opus by creating a level faithful to the Metro universe, while adding my personal touch.

Intention

This project is very close to my heart for all the affection I have for the Metro 2033 game series. So I was keen to produce a level faithful to those I was able to observe when I played Metro 2033 Last Light. A Linear level but which leaves room for the player to explore in a short area and rather base the levels on the narration. This project is segmented into 3 levels, we play Lyovkin, a friend of Artyom who was tasked with accessing a building linked to the Russian metro and recovering plans for the expansion of the metro which was started shortly before the nuclear winter. , which would allow people living in the metro to be able to expand their living space. The first part of the level takes place in a subway where Lyovkin must manage to escape to exit near the building. The second level takes place outside, putting the suburbs of Moscow in the middle of a snowstorm. The third level takes place in the building split in two and forcing Lyovkin to go from one floor to another via zip lines to find these famous subway expansion plans.
